ReplyDeleteI must say, I in some respect, I wish the trade embargo's were never lifted on SA as we were great with our own designs. Living in the UK now I look at what the lads here have gone to Afghanistan with and I really wish the world had taken some of our lead with our armoured vehicle designs - maybe one day.
Photo 2, which you have labelled as an early Rhino is actually a Rhodesian "Pookie" (number plate is a dead give-away).
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Rooikat is not an armoured personnel carrier, it is is an armoured reconnaissance vehicle, and replaced the Eland 90, NOT the Ratel 90
